In order to meet the needs of the community and to offer an option in North Dallas, the United Jewish Cemetery at Restland was developed in 2008.
The United Jewish Cemetery at Restland has evolved into one of the principal burial grounds for the Jewish community and will continue to serve the needs of the entire community for decades to come.
The United Jewish Cemetery at Restland presently contains over 1,800 spaces dedicated for Jewish burial. In addition to the Mount Zion and Sinai Gardens, four area congregations have established gardens within the United Jewish Cemetery at Restland for their members: Beth Torah in 2008, Nishmat Am in 2010, Anshai Torah in 2014 and Temple Shalom in 2019. Additional congregations will likely establish sections for their members in the future as the United Jewish Cemetery is expanded.
All spaces in the original Mount Zion and Mount Sinai Gardens have been reserved. Additional spaces for Phase II Gardens were acquired in 2016.
Unlike many other cemeteries that only permit ground-level markers, above-ground single or double monuments are permitted.
Restland Memorial Park, home of the United Jewish Cemetery, is a perpetual care cemetery and is responsible for all maintenance, upkeep, security, opening and closing of graves, and installation of monuments.
